The Escola house is situated on a hill with a pleasant and quiet atmosphere surrounded by cultivated fields with a wonderful sea and mountain view.

This house, “Escola”, was an ancient primary school, which was rebuilt in 2012 and transform into a comfort rural tourism with the required commodity of the modern times. It is situated at “Sítio das Faias” in Calheta. It is surrounded by agriculture fields with a magnificent view over the sea and other parishes.

Location

The ‘Escola’ House is situated in the southwest of Madeira Island, in Calheta, which is considered one of the best
place as far as clime is concerned. One of the parishes in Calheta is Arco da Calheta, at Sítio das Faias, 10 minutes far from the beach in Calheta and Rabaçal and 100 yards from the Levada Nova in 45 minutes from the Madeira Internacional Airport.

How to arrive

When you leave the airport take the motorway to Ribeira Brava
 
Arriving in Ribeira Brava keep on the road to Calheta;

When you are coming out of the tunnel you have a roundabout follow the sign Arco da Calheta and then 300 meters you will find another sign “Porto Moniz” which you should choose;

Keep in that road, you pass by a small village called “Loreto” then you get to “Sítio das Florenças”. Here you ought to take the first road on the right and keep on 500 meters;

Then turn once again on the first road on the left, after driving 400 meters, turn on the left and keep on the road for 400 meters then you will find a grey gate, you have arrived at the “Escola” House, at Sítio das Faias, nr. 113.
